Is Icon Trainers really only for certified professionals?

Yes, without exception. Every account requires a valid certification from a recognised body — NSCA, ACSM, NASM, ACE, ISSA, and 8 others including international bodies like CIMSPA, REPs, and canfitpro. This isn't gatekeeping for its own sake — it's how we ensure every client on the platform is working with a legitimate professional.

Does Icon Trainers process payments between me and my clients?

No. Icon Trainers is not a payment processor. When a client taps Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle, or Apple Cash, they are deep-linked directly into that app to complete the transaction. You receive 100% of your rate with no platform fees. The only exception is HSA/FSA processing via Stripe, which is available on Pro and Business plans.

Can I import my existing clients?

Yes. At launch you will be able to import clients via CSV or invite them individually by email. Clients receive a simple invitation and set up their own account in under two minutes. No technical knowledge required on either side.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your data belongs to you. If you cancel, you have 30 days to export your client profiles, fitness plans, and progress records in full before your account is closed. We don't hold your data hostage.

Does it work on mobile?

Icon Trainers is fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile. Both the trainer and client views are optimised for phone use — clients get a dedicated mobile experience with a bottom tab bar, and trainers can manage their practice from any device.
